The autumn term doesn’t officially begin for another fortnight, but last night a bunch of us hit The Black Prince to plan our set list and rehearse for a great pre-term gig.

The wonderful design duo Mini Moderns are taking over the Southbank Centre shop for the whole of September with their Remixed project, and tonight we are singing at their launch party. Can’t wait! We all stocked up on the beautiful mugs they designed for the Camberwell Arts Festival, and our mash-ups and reimaginings will fit right in. Also, free wine.

Voici le Remixed blurb:

Mini Moderns revisit their REMIX project this year with Southbank Centre.

Taking over the Festival Terrace Southbank Centre Shop, Mini Moderns curate a unique mix of things to buy, launching new lines from their 14/15 Hinterland Project, and hosting a number of events, workshops, guest appearances and product launches.

The 2014 Mini Moderns REMIX focuses on some of the designs the brand has created exclusively in partnership with Southbank Centre over the past few years, including Net and Ball, Concert and Festival.

Expect to see new colour-ways and new product lines, all exclusively available at the Festival Terrace Shop during their September residency.

Throughout September, the shop hosts a number of events and talks by long-standing Mini Moderns collaborators. There is a book signing and site specific installation by artist Matt Sewell to coincide with the launch of a new wallpaper collaboration between Matt and Mini Moderns. In addition, Lucy Mortimer, founder of furniture brand Galapagos, gives a talk on upholstery and there are sewing workshops given by the team at Clothkits.

Once term starts, we’ve got some terrific new numbers to learn – Dom’s been a busy chap. New gig list up soon, but our next gig is at the Dogstar, Brixton on Saturday October 25 at 9.30pm. See you there!
